This past few days, i've been writing all my thoughts in this little crib of mine. I don't why. Its just a nice feeling though to let those thoughts out of your mind. And guess what, suddenly in the middle of the night, I woke up. Thinking about this and that and realize, oh I need to BLOG this one, NOOOWW!
So enough of my non-sense, let's get to my main point.
Just today, a little chit chat in the work with a colleague. Make me realize of the story she just told me, as I ask myself about the statement she said.
"Sometimes, work is not all about money" is it?
Each people got different perspective in different things. Like for love, when I ask you "What is Love?!", then you might say that love is blind... why?! because your friend is so pretty, she got a boyfriend, she thought her boyfriend is handsome but then, in your perspective, yeah, he might be handsome but if your not beside him! YYAAA LAAAAA! =)) Ok, sorry for my MEANingful example.
Naaa, what my point is... there is a lot of factors that compose your definition of something or how do you look to something. So when you try to express some thoughts, its really not applicable to all.. Like for my example above, of course with the friend, Love is not blind, because I got a handsome boyfriend what?! some more since I'm in love with him, no matter what people might say about his look, in my eyes, he's still handsome so BACK OFF!
HAHAHA.
Since this is my crib, allow me to share my thoughts about this little thing whether you like it or not, well after all, your here! I'll try to be fair with this one.
Back to my question, Is it work is not all about money?! YEAH, sometimes it is, sometimes it is not. IT DEPENDS!
Let's see your main goal... If your goal is to become rich, of course this one is not applicable to you. Yeah obviously. If your personality is adventurous and young, then is not applicable to you also, as you want to try different things after another... because your young!
When you said, work is not all about money, its like you are trying to say... "Why do you need to resign or look for another job, if you are happy on what you are doing?"
Reality check, when i was in high school, a lot of my teachers will leave my school just to have the opportunity to work abroad. They're happy working here but because of necessity they have to go.
I'm not trying to say that the statement is wrong, its just that its really not applicable to everybody especially when your living in the Philippines or you left your family in poverty there.
ITS YOUR SELF-SATISFACTION! There will be a point in my life that I will say this when, I got some good salary... not too big but just enough to support my life and family, When I'm already in my middle age when I finally decided to start to be stable in my career thus I just need to work on with my job and step a little bit higher with my work. In short, if I am satisfied already then it is.
Though rarely, there are people who at their young age they got this special commitment already to their work, thats why there are some people who tend to stay at one company throughout whether things gone good or bad. Awesome. Loyalty mah.. LOYALTY!
If you ask me, what is work about? Work is all about money! HAHAHA. Just kidding.
Work is all about freedom. Work is about on how you want to live your life for the long run... You want experience, you want money, you want position, you want your company, you want your people, you are satisfied and happy. You cannot say that you have the tendency to get tired of everyday work routine, because almost 3/4 of your whole lifetime, you need to work. Its like the formula is always the same but the values are different.
I know i'm still young living with my life but i just want to make things worthwhile for me.
I have more rice to eat before getting to that point where I can be as good as those on the top. (Hopefully, my belly will be safe!)
Just have fun with your work, make a wise decision and live your life free of worries.
