First Look to Pulau Ubin

  • I'm kinda impulsive when it comes to going out for adventures. I was planning to go alone in Ubin, luckily this guy decided to go with me or else i dont have any pictures of myself at the island. HAHAHA.

It was a trial. A preparation of our plan to camp at Pulau Ubin. (honestly, i dont think this will be my birthday celebration... though they think it is!)

I totally make a research about the island before going there... But of course, some posted in the internet are long dated like the bumboat ride is $2.00 but its $2.50 already.. still cheap though. But for this trip we pay $5.00 just for the bumboat man to kick the boat engine and start sailing.

We really dont have much time, we need to get back to the world before sunset. We arrived at Ubin quarter to 4pm.

This part belongs to Changi Beach! Not Ubin itself.. but its nice!

Bumboat trip brings me back to trip we made in Samal Island in Davao.
Actually, the road trip going to the terminal is like i'm in Subic.

    Welcome To Ubin!!!

I was rooting for a mountain bike, but the idea of basket in front of the bicycle is nice since we got some handy things with us. $6 for a rental of a good bicycle for one whole day.. CHEAP!

The only quarry we visited! Other quarries are too far from our routes. The first time I saw a real quarry!

We successfully scout the 3 available campsite in Ubin but then I only have the chance to get some shot in Mamam Campsite. Probably. its because its more attractive than the two. Noordin is almost the same, Jelutong on the other hand is more bigger though its a common campsite so its kinda messy!

    Some on the road pictures...

    SIDE  NOTES:
*With the type of my skin, I'm really prone to insect bites.. at least I got 8! A repellant is a must!
*Crazy bicycle routes, but it was fun! Sweating really really hard!
*Failed to see bikers park and Chek Jawa, no more time.. Chek Jawa and Bikers Park are very far from each other.
*When we check the camping sites.. its quiet! Hopefully, when we camp its also the same setting!
*I enjoyed the road steeps... only when going down!
*Well, half or almost.. the place is like the old old times... i wonder if they got some road lights at night.
*Wildlife, damn.. we only saw an iguana! it sucks! JUST ONE in a hundred.

    The trial was successful, indeed!
